Rory is a Senior Consultant at 42T with over 15 years of experience in product design and consultancy. With a Master’s degree in Engineering and a background in Product Design and Manufacture, Rory has developed solutions across sectors including security, telecoms, biotech, and consumer lighting.
He combines hands-on mechanical design expertise with a strong focus on sustainable design and circular economy principles. Rory’s broad manufacturing experience spans injection moulding, machining, sheet metal, and rapid prototyping, making him adept at designing for both innovation and practical implementation.
A standout project includes the design of a rotary maintenance platform for a large holographic radar system, engineered for a 25-year lifespan and end-of-life disassembly.
Life outside work
Outside work, Rory enjoys carpentry, brewing beer on his own DIY setup, and spending time with his two kids.
