42 Technology is working with Dantex Group, a UK-based manufacturer of advanced digital printing systems for the global label and packaging industry, to develop a new AI-enabled operator support system for its Pico range of digital presses.
The Pico Adaptive Logic (PAL) system was demonstrated publicly for the first time by Dantex at LOUPE Americas in Chicago, US . The system is being described by Dantex as an ‘industry-first AI operator support system for the UV inkjet label press sector’.
PAL is designed to give press operators immediate, on-press support for production, maintenance and troubleshooting tasks simply by speaking to it in everyday language. It provides fast access to the information needed to understand press functions, achieve specific production results and resolve maintenance issues without operators having to memorise commands or search through technical documents.

PAL puts Dantex’s technical knowledge directly on the press, helping to shorten response times and simplify service and maintenance, while supporting its customers in maximising press uptime and production efficiency.
The system combines Dantex’s technical expertise with 42T’s proven capabilities in AI, product and system development, and manufacturing innovation. The collaboration demonstrates how natural language AI can make industrial equipment easier and more intuitive to operate, while giving users faster access to the technical support they need.
PAL will form part of Dantex’s PicoCare service and support offering, with all new Pico presses equipped with the system from 2027.
