David, AKA Griff, is a Principal Consultant at 42T, bringing decades of experience in industrial automation, complex system design and engineering leadership. Educated at Cambridge University with a postgraduate specialism in Design, Manufacture and Management, Griff has worked across sectors including aerospace, automotive, printing, medical and chemistry systems.
His career has taken him through consulting, research and engineering roles at global organisations as well as running his own technology consultancy. At 42T, Griff’s contributions include a patented leak detection algorithm that supported a successful client exit, as well as innovative work on high-temperature gas manifolds and diagnostics using frequency-based fault detection.
He’s known for making complex problems accessible and for bridging technical depth with real-world application, whether in PLC coding, system integration or high-risk development projects.
Life outside work
Outside of work, Griff is an enthusiastic cyclist, unicyclist, juggler and snowboarder, and has even stood as a Green Party candidate in local and national elections.
