Joe is Head of Mechanical Engineering and Design at 42T, with a Master of Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and over a decade of experience in technical consultancy. Joe leads the combined mechanical engineering and design teams, ensuring the reliable delivery of high-quality, cross-disciplinary product development.
Since joining 42T in 2012, Joe has worked across the medical, consumer, and industrial sectors, progressing from hands-on development into project leadership and strategy. He has led multi-million-pound programmes, managed large multi-disciplinary teams, and delivered complex solutions from concept to manufacture.
Notable achievements include launching a suite of novel natural gas measurement tools, leading the development of high-speed beverage production equipment, and installing an optical QC system capable of detecting sub-10-micron defects. Joe also leads the company’s Quality Management Team, driving ISO-compliant process improvement across the business.
Life outside work
Outside work, Joe’s equally at home in front of a different kind of audience, as a Musical Director for amateur theatre groups in the Cambridge area.
