Joe is an electronics engineer with a passion for radar, robotics, and designing tech that works in tough environments. Before earning his MEng in Electronic Engineering from the University of Southampton, Joe spent a year internship at a consultancy helping develop an intravascular endoscope.
At 42T, he’s been focused on designing mixed-signal electronics that can safely operate in explosive atmospheres, through ATEX compliance. He’s also right at home debugging tricky systems and making sure the tech holds up under pressure.
Life outside work

Outside the lab, Joe holds a second-degree black belt in Tang Soo Do and spends his spare time mentoring students and running robotics competitions through the Smallpeice Trust and Student Robotics.
