Mike Worth is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at 42T with a degree in Physics from the University of Oxford and a long-standing career in Cambridgeshire consultancy. He has worked across medical, industrial, and FMCG sectors, bringing analytical depth and hands-on engineering experience to every stage of product development.
Mike’s expertise lies in the mathematical and physical modelling of complex systems, with particular experience in simulation, fluid dynamics, and thermo-mechanical design. He has worked extensively on challenging fluid systems, including aerosols, non-Newtonian fluids, and colloidal systems.
A career highlight includes managing the development of a chemical weapons detection system, delivering a step-change in sensitivity through inertial pre-concentration techniques.
Life outside work

When he’s not engineering, you’ll find Mike outdoors leading Scout groups on all kinds of adventures, or at home tinkering in his personal workshop, which includes both manual and CNC kit.
