James is an embedded systems engineer who’s right at home where software, hardware, and next-generation tech meet. With a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Leicester and a love for digital control systems, he’s worked on everything from real-time industrial instrumentation to pioneering quantum sensing applications.
James specialises in developing embedded software solutions using the Rust programming language, and his technical skills span real-time systems design, digital signal processing, and image processing. Notable career highlights include contributing to the development and deployment of one of the world’s first quantum inertial measurement units demonstrated in flight and advancing smart imaging systems for neutral atom quantum computing.
Life outside work

Outside of work, James enjoys diving into video games and has recently picked up skateboarding again, because learning new tricks never really goes out of style.
