Sarah Knight is Head of Healthcare Technology at 42T and an experienced R&D leader specialising in medical device development and innovation across the MedTech and life sciences sectors. With an MEng in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, Sarah brings deep technical expertise in mechanical and biomedical engineering alongside a strong track record of project leadership and regulatory strategy.
Her career spans engineering consultancy, surgical robotics, and clinical innovation, where she has led cross-functional teams through complex product development cycles, from early-stage feasibility through to volume manufacture and commercialisation. She has worked across a broad range of healthcare applications including diagnostics, implants, surgical instruments, wound care, drug delivery and critical care.
Notable achievements include leading the development of a novel breath-based diagnostic system for infectious disease detection.
Life outside work
When she’s not deep in MedTech innovation, Sarah is most likely halfway up a mountain, running, climbing, or just enjoying the view.
