Barney is a hands-on engineer with a background in advanced manufacturing. He holds a Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and is currently completing a degree apprenticeship in Manufacturing Engineering at Anglia Ruskin University.
Barney plays a key role in R&D across industrial, consumer and medical sectors. His work includes prototyping, product testing, and lab management, supporting a range of innovation projects from concept to test rig. One highlight? Helping develop a microfluidics cartridge for medical diagnostics, refining precision bonding techniques to create sealed fluid channels.
Life outside work
When he’s not in the lab, Barney’s usually on a trail, at the gym, or putting in the miles on a run.
