
Karlheinz is a seasoned Technology Strategy and Innovation leader with over 30 years of experience, including 15 years in consulting and nearly 10 years specialising in medical technology.
With a Dipl.-Ing. (Univ.) from the Technical University of Munich and an Erasmus certificate from L’École nationale supérieure du pétrole et des moteurs in Paris, he has worked internationally across medical, consumer, industrial and FMCG sectors.
He has held senior commercial and consulting roles including Commercial Director, Head of Sector and European Sales Manager, advising C-suite leaders and Chief Innovation and Product Officers across more than 20 biopharma companies. His experience spans technology strategy, innovation, product development, commercialisation and data science/AI.
Karlheinz has led major international innovation programmes, including a US/German RADx-funded COVID-19 diagnostic device programme, where he was responsible for the commercial direction of his consultancy and supported prototype validation using live COVID-19 virus in a US laboratory. He has also contributed to the development of technologies resulting in more than 10 patents.
His international experience spans Europe, the Middle East, Brazil, Russia, Japan and India, with previous experience at Siemens, Ciba-Geigy, Novartis and Huntsman.
